WTK: Coolant

i may be looking to do a rad. flush soon and was wondering wat brand coolant to use???

i hav a Starlet GT.

also as i on the topic of cooling, i wanted to find for a little while now, is there anywhere locally i can go to get silicone hoses??? besides bringin in from overseas.

I use Glycoshell and I have no complaints, heard that the royal purple ice and redline water wetter supposed to be pretty good as well. Check W2J or quikwip for the hoses

lol ok boss i hear u. well the tests that Turbo magazine did proves ur last statement there for real eh. but how much of these bottles wud i need to buy if i am flushin my rad???

in general
any premix glycol coolant should be cool
avoid tap water or concentrates that have to be mixed with tap water
the minerals damage water pump impela, cause cavitaion
and build up inside coolant system much like tap water
leaving carbonates in the kettle.

and i suppose any of the additives above will assist from there.

lol better buy a big bottle of blue waters!!!!

was readin up on another forum, TOYOTAGTTURBO, that the recommended coolant is OEM stuff. wat are ur views on that, if that is available down here

OEM coolant is available at quite a few auto acc shops, it's better to use distilled (battery) water than Blue Waters, I'm using that with great results, also the water and water wetter works fine, I've never seen my needle at half on my temp gauge
