^ Agreed. First you need a good mech and electrician. You will need a complete engine, gearbox, harness, ecu, axels, you will also need to get a fuel pump, upgrade your fuel lines and you exhaust. You should also change your timing belt, acc. belts, fluids etc.

Are you converting from auto to manual? Talk to reddo 23 he did the conversion recently in his tercel.

too long, it took me two months and all that was done was engine put in and it was wired. This conversion should take like Z, and 33hertz said a two weeks, maybe three, get the fuel pump before ne thing, organize your parts first, then start the process from there.

the only things i would add to this is upgraded front rotors and the starlet instrument cluster.

make sure the engine comes with everything including the map sensor

This is how your planning should go:
(1) Budget cost of swap, purchase of all parts, mechanic fee, electrician fee, exhaust shop fee - pipe, fabrication, de-catting, flex pipe, barrel, labour, cost of replacing consumables, possible machine shop/ fabrication costs, guages, turbo timer, (boost controller if you want to switch boost levels).

(2) Source mechanic/electrician based on expertise with this swap...is a straightforward drop out-drop in but yuh eh want no learning curve with your car.

(3) Budget downtime based on mechanic estimate.

(4) Multiply estimated downtime x 3 to get actual downtime (trust me on this one)

Well I think you got all the advice you'll need here. Good contributions by everyone.

Once again, it is a straightforward swap. Get all the parts you'll need to get FIRST. That way you'd minimize downtime while the swap is in progress and setting aside time to go buy/look for things. IF everything goes smoothly, you could have the car up and running within a week and spend another week for light tuning.

I also have a great mechanic who can handle you - he's based in Chaguanas. PM me if you want to meet him.

a have an external, but i would recommend getting an internal pump that is designed for turbo cars. It goes inside your gas tank. It can be another, but if u get a starlet , less work.
