WTK 1.8 corolla

hey, i am lookin to buy the NZE model corollas, but i saw in a website that some came 1.8....so i wanted to find out if any of the models that came down here is 1.8?...
and also i heard that these model corollas is currently having problems such as the power steering brain does give probz, as well as the evaporator and compressor...heard this from a guy by ROC in the bamboo...jus wanted to clarify this..thanks

You talking new from TTTL or roro? TTTL can get you the sedan with the 1zz 1.8 on special order. They only brought in the station wagons with the 1zz 1.8. I hear they stopped bringing in the wagons tho.

You can get the wagon, sedan and hatchback with the 1zz 1.8 and the wagon and hatchback with the 2zz-ge 1.8 (190hp) roro.

Never heard of any such problem as the power steering brain giving problem......as the 1zz model had hydraulic power steering and not electric like the 1nz 1.5. Also never heard of evap or compressor problems either and have none of these on my 1.8.

ye,s i never heard of these problems either. I only heard a guy in the bamboo talking how they dont bring them because of the high prices for the evaporator and compressor, maybe we both heard it from the same guy. Everyone i know with a f-used or a corolla from TTTL sing praises about the vehicle. Of course there are a few with complaints but that is expected

The 1.8 engine come with a hydraulic power steering.THhe 1.5 engines are the one s that come with a brainbox for the steering to allow for less load on the enggine and for the speed sensitive features.

k thanks for the info ppl...well i guess i'll be lookin for the 1.8 which is the 1zz then...buh these look scarce...and is roro i lookin to buy it from or if u all know anyone one have one for sale the sedan 1.8 model i'll be interested.
and also i never knew that it had 2zz 1.8...but lookin even more scarce

prices gone up yes. Last time i got a quote for a 1.8 fielder with out flare kit and roof rack it was something like $105,000.

That price actually seems good. Cause NZEs going for closer to $90K now...

w.r.t. the original question: No, no and no. Never had any issues with the 1ZZ engine. 4 years plus and never had to touch anything except oil and filters, and changed plugs.
