Now that the GT has finally gone, sniff sniff, gotta find a car for my sis like now. Was convincing her on the altis, which know is basically the american shape corolla, or just an nze 2003 model.....Of course parts are a problem with the altis, but i like how it stands out among the rest. also what is the strongest engine, the 1.5 or 1.6? Think the altis can take some fixing up to make it look good? Toyota already told me they would service either for me.

lemme hear the views

Things to consider would mechanical parts, body parts (in the event of and accident) and price. Don't get me wrong it's a nice car but for $120 000 +, I'd invest in a new Corolla.

Altis is the singapore version of the USDM corolla. Front body parts are gonna be kinda diffcult to get for the altis. The bumper, headlight, front grill and brackets are different...so if you get the altis.....try not to get in a front end coll. IF i'm not mistaken the rear bumper, taillight, trunklid, rear bumper and brackets are different too.....but i'll have to confirm that.

Other that that......the chassis, doors, internals, transmission are the same. I'm not sure as to the suspension. The usdm uses a 5 lug setup and larger rotors. But i think the singapore altis uses the same setup and the jdm and sinapore nze12xs.

Personally i would take the standard shaped NZE corolla than the altis just based on body parts availability.

Hope I not too late, You can get altis parts cheap on the Internet from the US.

So don't make that an issue. The real issue is fuel economy. The 3zz seem to be drinking gas.

The NZE is the more economical car.

Adding aftermarket accessories like headlights, taillight, and grills would be easier with the ZZE 130 Altis.
