Yes, call me a joker. I not about to promote call-outs when there is no where to do what we want to do legally. 8-)

I could just stand by my arguments because of what I have tested and proven - not once, but twice - different 4EFTEs.

I guess you have your reasons to say the same. Maybe one day we'll find out what makes our particular motors so different.

In the meantime, you all should just shut up and have some respect for the 20V. It's your big brother.

Look how quick Terran back down Marka jus like i know he would. I not fightin u down terran u have a toyota and dat iz my brand but u should refrain from makin statements dat u dont plan on backin up. One organized race on an empty road is not so bad once d only people at risk is d 2 drivers.

Breds, me ent trashing de 4EFTE, and I never would. Like I said, I just poking some fun.

And B16As, and SR20DEs have been handled already. I done know de 20V is not to fool around de MIVEC.

So far everything on hold cuz i not finding any 4efte's. But i did locate a blacktop complete for $7000 so if i dont find the 4efte by the end of next week then its 20v FTW!

So been researching lots and here is what i came up with.

The 4age blacktop will put out about 120-125 whp stock
With CAI, 2.5" exhaust,255lph fuel pump,SAFC, plugs and some tuning should put out about 135-140whp. Avg cost $3500.00 Which should put me into a 15 sec run considering the weight of my car.
Total cost $10500.00

The 4efte however will put out about 100whp stock
With Bigger injectors, FMIC, SAFC, Boost controller, BOV, 255LPH fuel pump, 2.5" exhaust, stock turbo and tuning on regular 95 octane gas. Avg cost $5000.00 should put out about 150-155 whp with moderate tuning for everyday use and about 170 whp with c16 and radical tuning  High 14sec 1/4 mile
Total cost $11000.00

So the decision is pretty hard cuz most places just offering just a start up warranty on the fte as its turbo but i getting 1 month on the blacktop. Then i have to consider the cost of maintainence as turbo engines should cost a little more but blacktop parts are pretty scarce.

Giving the 4efte hunt one more try and if not well then i will have to prove to those honda guys what the 20v can do
What u guys think?

ok well i didnt read the last 8 pages of this thread but from what ive read so far,
did you consider the gas comsumption in the boosted 1.3 in comparison to the 1.6 na??

or did you also consider the maintainence of the 4e?

what about your competition of the NA bracket?
also what about the future sight of modifications?
how far can a 20v go? in comparison to the 4e?
also the life of the both engines?

they should be around the same AFAIK

maintainence of the 4e?

Should be a bit higher as its turbo

The blacktop is a newer engine so should last a bit longer, plus its N/A so the risk of too leaning out is smaller. The blacktop can go VERY far if its turbo charged but it is very costly. I plan on running in the 15 sec bracket so future mods wont be much more than what i listed.

what car u putting de engine in?

Ae 80 corolla

The 4efte might be your best bet, its smaller than the 4age so there wont be as much modifying as well as its lighter than the 4age. The swift and starlet are similar in size so the 4efte should perform pretty well in that platform

PM me. My mechanic is my hero. He knows Toyotas better than most. A conversion like that should be a piece of cake (to him).
