Hilux 2008 model issue

Hey guys i got a toyota hilux 2008 model 2.5l engine 4x2. I am having an issue where i have lost power. I have to start it an allow it for about 10 - 15 mins to warm up before i can have a little power restored and it burning a lot more diesel than usual. Any assistance would be appreciated

Did you recently change your diesel filter?
you might have air in the housing.

the problem was happening before so i did change the filter
