RAV4 tyre option size?

Guys i have a 2005 RAV4 and i wanna put some AT tyres on it.

whats the best size to go with if i'm going with either 16s or 17s.

i found these sizes online and just wanna know if i can go wider without any touching or rubbing issues.

215/70 R16
225/60 R16
235/60 R16
225/55 R17
225/55 R17 / 225/55 R17

It all depends on the offset on your rims.

I have fit 235/50/16 on my stock rims. If you have aftermarket rims with a lower offset, the wider tires will fit

ended up putting 225/70r16
MAXXIS HT

running good with a little hum
also gives my ride a nice look

when i returned to stock rims i went 235/70/17. great ride and looks good too.
