The 612 is 1600 I believe, less than your budget of 1800.

If you want an abused earthquake subzero 12 in a 32 Hz aeroport box let me know. I think I collected enough dog hair
The 612e is $2100 by triple r bud

If the DD is really 2100 and the IA around the same price or a few hundred more, go with the ia

I had a pair of lethal injection 12's I piped on the forum a while ago. Really solid all round sub. Better than the 600 series DD or the Bundown SA

Jdm had the ia for 1800. But its out of stock. He said he may get it back mid feb.

The 612d then as it's within budget. It would be fine tuned 33hz. I have the 8's tuned around the same without issues.

I hate that dinky basket on the 612d. I dont mind putting out the cash for the 612e. I can push the budget to the $2100, not sure if yall know a better contender than the 612e for what am looking for. If anything comes to mind that i can get down here in dual 2, let me know if not well, dd it is

If the choice was mines, I would rush that Brahma.
If it's a good quality amp with a true 1k RMS, it won't be optimal but would more than do it justice.

Once the Brahma in good condition.

I have a CT sounds 900.1.. its 900rms @12v and 1200rms @14v. Am working with the 900rms for a little head room also how the tiida rests more at 12.6v.
The search continues. I called triple r, apparently the last 612e has some cosmetic damage, i don't want that.
So, i guess the wait/search goes on. To be honest, i don't want to rush to buy and buy $hit. I have the cash on hand but i really want something that would give me what am looking for. I saw a post on the net which said get a sub with the QTS around .4 with fs at or below wherever i want to tune.

for u guys who actually take d time to plot subs & design their own custom enclosures : yall notice alot of companies make their sub peak or give a "flatttish response" around d 32hz since i guessing according to their research its where alot of ppl worldwide wud like their sub tuned to to "ideally give them a all around bass"

here in trini a good bit of ppl like 40-50hz tuning , alot of factory specs give recommendations at that 40ish mark

me ? , i like it as low as it can mechanical\capably go, down in d teens for me , once u live in that zone for a while u never ever want to back up to that 30s bisnis ...

I personally like the low 30's tuning for daily use. It gives a better in car response for all genres of music.
But music is a personal choice kinda thing.

Jeremy have you tried other dealers? Safe and sound had some really nice subs. Do t stick to a few brands, you might get something to fit your needs and budget outside the regular offerings.

d trend in rms subs ratings over d past 10-15yrs since everybody went to china for outsourcing is like this

RMS
300
600
1200
1500
2000
then u have 3k & 5k plus monsters

a good general guide is to have about 25% overhead power so amp doesnt have to be working at its full when u ready to slam

manufactures take into account ppl gonna overpower & do all kinds of crap so they underrate it to lessen chances of ppl effn it up , then again ppl know this so they deliberately overpower ... d monster subs are overbuilt cause at that level they know ppl gonna beat d sh1t of out of them

ppl say that same thing to me yet when they listen to mine they take it back

tuning low does not mean it cant also play high, this is why when i demo i have a folder of high bass songs to prove that its not just a low end performer but will play anything i throw at it from 15-80 though i prefer it 15-50, slope will allow it to taper into upper 50s & let it blend with my comps that is set at 50hz

i dont force my opinions\preference on anybody since audio\bass is a subjective thing, everybody has their preferred range , same thing with those who has a front stage playing low while other like it up high like 80-100hz or more

good analogy for music is : its like doubles ... each person has a preference of how they like their's :|
