What battery do you recommend

Postby Rage Warrior » May 9th, 2019, 8:49 pm

Well tuners, just doing a little research before I buy. What battery would you recommend for a daily driver tiida.
I'm running 4 Amps( 200,500,800 1000 watts) that power (2)10",(2) bullet tweeters,(4) 6",(4) dome tweeters and (1) 15". All speakers and amps same brand except for domes and (2) 6" for now. Will only play while driving or car on. Nothing too expensive before wifey kill me,thanks in advance.

Ras do you have a brain? A system is supposed to be planned on paper first pal.You cannot be working by guess. God alone knows if you have proper gauge wire, etc.

Anyway get in contact with Fuzz for some XS power batteries.

I love when ppl make assumptions, they make themselves look very stupid. Did I say I had everything hooked up and playing? I only run the (4) 6" on 1 amp with tweeters coming of a 0 gauge block down to 4 gauge. Stock can more than handle that. Now you have facts. Thanks anyway.

If you are only using the audio system with the engine running, the battery will not be the problem. Your issue will be with the alternator.

You will need a load study taking into account engine, lighting, wipers, audio, and A/C current draw at idle.

Your alternator will be required to provide sufficient power (usually 90 % of maximum load) based on it's output characteristics and your engine/alternator pulley drive ratio.

Based on your amps stated total max load is 2500watts

Works out to 200amps max current draw at 12.5 volts

You will never see that amount of draw while playing music.

Typically maybe 100amps or less

Suggest the largest battery that can fit on the oem tray will be sufficient. Agm options from northstar and xspower as well as many other brands. Go with someone who offers a good warranty package. Even the pricemart brand battery will also work.

Thanks I was wondering about that pricesmart Optima. My max load might even be around 2200 watts considering I won't be using full potential on 2 of the amps and your right I won't see that kind of current pull unless I was blasting a sine wave. Well I'll compare warranties and make a decision. Thank you. I understand you offer services to help tune systems, just wanna make sure I'm getting all my frequencies and no null spots, how much does it cost?

You can look at the XS Power D5100R which fits up perfect in a Tiida and has the power requirements you are looking for.

Yep fuzz is the man, he has a nice supplemental battery im dying to try. Its looking like a excellent option for a small rear battery, good point to terminate power from.

You quoted me once for the d5100r $2400,heat wrap $200. Do you have to buy terminal poles?

Heat wrap lol those XS can't take heat they need babying in the engine bay. Use a Northstar no heat wrap needed and comes with high quality terminals, just drop it in. Check Rodney audio for them.
