The 3 leading battery brands worldwide atm are Full River, Northstar and XS power...not in any particular order...so yes I'd say that Northstars are better than optimas by far...to say that they're better than XS however? I not sure either brand is better than the next...both are excellent.

The local dealers for both offer 3 year warranty...only major difference is within prepping for use in the engine area...the Northstar AGM line u can drop in as is in the engine bay...it is advisable that u heat wrap the XS first before dropping it in the engine bay...where performance of both is concerned tho...both will serve u well for a very long time...

I haven't had personal experience with Full River batteries just yet but I heard some really good things about them...not sure what's the warranty on them locally and who the dealer is though

U can get Northstar from Rodney (dealer of American bass) - 350-1500

And XS power from fuzz (team2lo2flo) - 784-4284

Thank you very much Casper.
There is still hope, with people like you on Tuner.

The performance of most main stream batteries available is typically excellent. Top dollar does not generally get you a better battery. However, spending very little normally gets you an inferior battery.

Most of the batteries that I have seen fail under warranty were because of faulty charging systems, repeated deep cycling or excessive run loads from aftermarket systems.

Here's an article from Consumer Reports that's a couple of years old. Most of the brands are well known US companies but some like Bosch and Optimal are known in Trinidad.

Where do you buy your PVC? I need a few sheets of different thicknesses for something that is completely unrelated to audio.
