I don't really know anything about the internals.....but is there things to look at to know if the amp is good quality.

105 degree capacitors on the power supply side is a plus
dual power supplies
high grade components
and some amps use mil spec boards ie the circuit board itself meets the us military standard for electronic equipment
ORION started off by making circuit boards for the military in the early 80's

you really need to have a little background in electronics to inderstand the actual circuit build and quality of the internals of an amplifier
