Postby insanelunatic » April 17th, 2014, 7:13 pm

if one of your front channel in ah 4 channel is playing low and i think iam hearing a slight distortion, what does that mean? the other front channel is playing really loud and clean.... note that the gain was left as is when testing both channels... thanks

it means you need to go get your amp checked out. Could be the output mosfets going bad.

Check signal cable or swap speaker wires. See if problem persists

had this problem. it was due to a pinch in the wire and the speaker grounded out. what i did was bridge the channels and it worked. but definitely get it look at by a tech.

Are you positive its damaged?

Or does the problem occur with the other channel when the wires are swapped?

What head unit you using? Grounding off sometimes affects the head unit operation so its a quick diagnosis.

Had a speaker start playing soft on me once, everytime I hit a bump it get softer till it cut off. I actually cry thinking my new speakers f**ked. Pulled in republic bank car park in gulf view ready to scrap down and diagnose. Turns out I had something in the trunk that hit the RCA and it was sliding out bit by bit so the signal kept getting weaker and weaker till....zilch.
