I've had the opertunity to use both drivers at their best, and I must say the eminence is a tad bit better off than the selenium.The eminence extends well into the 20khz range, and is very natural sounding, whereas the 220ti struggles to get past the 16k range, and usually requires a tweeter.The 220ti needs heavy eq at the 1.5-10k range, which may be at a disadvantage to someone using limited processing.The eminence simply needs a simple bump at the 20k range, but just enough to make it sound natural and not forced like most others
On the other hand, the 220ti is slightly louder, but the eminence has much better harmonics.Both are evenly matched in my opinion, where one falls short the other excels.The settling difference for me would be availability of parts in case of, but my personal preference would be the eminence.
