WTK: best 10" mid bass/mid range speaker

Postby short_man » May 31st, 2013, 12:47 am

I need to buy a pair of 10" mid range.

Which brand do you consider best among the following and why?

18sound
Das audio
Beyma
Faital pro
Eminence Delta
Kombat audio

Thanks

i have used all of the big brands in the past. like smr said. all the speaker shine in different aspects.

RCF l10yk750- nice all-round speaker, good low mids and midbass yet still being loud!
Das 10b- heavy midbass, very loud as well.
18 sound 10m600- one of the louder 10's bt not much midbass
faital pro- some of the most tonal speakers, nice midbass and and mids, lightweight, weather resistant.
beyma 10mi100- very tonal aswell, rich low mids. very good speaker.

out of all my preference is the faital pro 10fh500/510 (prefer this to the 700 model). for its tonality and durability, handles power nicely and gets louder with more power.

the rcf is one of the most efficient speaker there, can get loud with only 400 rms on 1.

so it all depends on what u want.

Personally I'd recommend Zebra or Nippon America

It's not what you have, it's how you use it.

imo while the 10MD26 plays nice...the FH500 hits very hard, very tonal and clean offcourse...both were tested under same power.
