help on 8" speakers

Postby rocknation » May 26th, 2013, 4:33 pm

I need to 8" speakers to complete my system an i was deciding to go wit the 18sound 8" only because rcf 8" is carbon fiber ......but i don't know how the rcf would sound so if there's any 1 that had the rcf an know how they sound i will like to get your say on that an if i should go with the rcf 8" instead of the 18sound 8" looking for more mid-bass because i have a pair or selenium D220ti drivers.....?

I have my RCF on my backdash playing midbass proper (90hz-250hz) getting about 200w rms each. Demo available if you are in the San Juan area. Also have Selenium drivers playing with them and 6" for midrange.

may I ask why you have a pair of speakers that are capable of playing midbass and midrange play only midbass and buy another pair to play midrange?

depending on how much power u running take alook at the skar PAX pro 8's as an option no worries about magnet size and trust me the midbass is strong and very tight

Nervewrecker, tried the 8's highpass from 90hz up, but with 6 included and everything bandpassed it sounded much cleaner and louder. Please give me a shout when you are in the area, I want you to hear them for yourself. Also, I always wanted a 4 way system that can play loud and clean.
