Postby nervewrecker » September 14th, 2012, 11:07 pm

I thought was just the site down but looks like its the whole company.

Another one bites the dust.

I have one of their 18s home in the HT on tiny power, and I'm very pleased with it.
They were an affordable brand with decent products, it's unfortunate to see them go.

There are only so many ways to share the same pie. Newer companies, offering the same re-branded sheit for cheaper will replace the older ones will less marketing hype.

ED really made some nice subs in their day , silky smooth bass

had d pleasure of briefly working with their flagship 13av.2 sub , wow what a monster - u wud have thought it was a 15" with how it sounded

entrepreneurs are bringing out new brands (& still doing so) trying to capitalize on d current trend of multiple subs in walls , 4th order , 6th order & whatever else nowadays in d usa & all over d world

d market is indeed being saturated with pretty much same ol same ol under new brand names with alot of hype & marketing as if its d hottest thing since sliced bread & major selling point being us$10-30 less than other existing brands

with all this & struggling world economy , unfortunately some like ED & others either get pushed off d edge , water down their products , sell off to d highest bidder or trying to just barely survive ...

Unfortunately they owe me money from an order placed a while back. From what I was told by the CEO is that all his staff walked out on him one by one after the manager messed up really bad. They owe lots of customers money, plus products that was never shipped and people who sent products for repair through warranty never got them back. Apparently the attorney general of Iowa caught up with them because folks complained about orders showing up on their credit card that was never placed, so they kept the site up and sold products which they never had in stock.
