Congratulations to Johnathan Babulal who is currently placed at #4 in the world in the MECA SQL Rankings....

Jonathan has been an inspiration to myself and his guidance and knowledge sharing has developed me and many other tuners in the area of Sound Quality.

Good work man.... looking forward to getting a demo of the 3-way soon.....

I have a question regarding these placments for MECA

how fair is the comparison of scores in the top 10 in 3x events when they are judged by different people at different locations

shouldnt a fairer top 10 list be compiled based on scoring by the same judge? as there are so many other variables to consider from seating position to the height of the judge etc

(this has nothing to do with Jonathan's acheivments his car sounds awesome and can be competetive against anyone worldwide)

I hope to see more Trinis on the list as our scores improve.

Jason has proved it already that we are worthy world class Sound Q competitors, and I'd encourage more car audio enthusiasts to get involved and participate.

This has been answered on MK forum. I am not going through the length and breath on this again. This is the copy and paste of it:

I think that this was discussed previously and I agree that it will not be 100% accurate. BUT you might remember for the MK Curry duck SQ Challenge, with the weather conditions and ambient noise changing all the time and SQ Judging is going on like normal, there were significant variables present. That was not 100% accurate either. My point is simply that the nature of SQ is subjective and will NEVER be 100% accurate. I have seen things on scoresheets that baffle me with even the same judge. Having said so, we as judges must try our best to ensure that we are on the same page within reason on an international basis with he help of scaled diagrams and listening notes. This is why i worked closely with Steve Stern when i brought him here to ensure that there's a proper understanding.

I am not saying that your statement is wrong, i am just saying that it is not 100% right, and it is a Judges duty to try and make it as wrong as possible.

Please do not clutter this thread with this issue you have. Post another or call me.

In other news, the majority of US MECA state finals were completed last weekend and there are some updates to the top 10 list.

I think there's one more show for the year where Trini's can try to get on the list.
