Can you elaborate on "it was a decentish amp"? Pros and Cons....what more you were expecting from it?

for the price, you cannot go wrong.

I bought the 400.4 as a replacement for my rockford. Both rockford and orion were rated at 300 watts and the PB 400 though.
For half the price there is simply no comparison with respect to performance and power output. The orion cobalt 600.4 was nice and clean, the rf prime 300.4 was weak and seems to be lacking.
With a 4 ohm load on each channel of the PB it blows away the rf in bridged mode (150watts * 2).

I'm pretty sure the 800.2 will not disappoint if this is what I am getting from the 400.4

Suppose someone used the amp on two 'el cheapo' 10" mids?
Suppose someone used the amp on 2 10" mids in a poor enclosure install?
Suppose someone used the amp in an install with a weak electrical?

What kind of response are you really looking for? What are you really asking? Can it play mids well? Will it produce rated power?

Those rcf speakers aren't 350 watts? How you guys reach at 1200 watts for a pair?

rcf 10'' is 350 rms 700watts an d amp giving out 1200 rms at 4 0hm

i wondering the same thing
1 RCF L10 750yk is 350rms @ 8ohm

therefore a pair if parallel would be 700rms @ 4ohm
therefore the powerbass 800.2 would ba better yet cheaper amp to buy
its about 1450 brand new and does 800rms bridged at 4ohms @ 14.4V

The 1200.2 would be too powerful for those RCF 10's. You would want to match both speakers and amp because I am sure you will bridge the speakers down to 4ohm.
