Boston Acoustics amplifier review needed to play 2 10s rcf

Postby RAJIE » May 15th, 2012, 3:15 pm

looking for a amp to play 2 10s rcf to the best it can be played yet still being clean

model of rcf is the l10 750yk

350rms each @ 8ohm

so amp should a 2 channel atleast 700rms @ 4ohms

amp that i have in mind is the Boston Acoustics GT-2200

its rated 900rms but 700rms @ 40hms bridged

just need some reviews of this brand of amp as in quality and if the rms is over rated

What would be the better question to ask then? Since I myself am not audio inclined, and would probably end up asking the same question as OP...

RF800.2 is a nice amp like Roach said, also the MTX 942 like Team2Lo2Flo...

And why you said no lanzars bro? Look up the Lanzar Opti Drive 500X2....that should be a very nice amp for those 2 rcf...more than enough power plus a bit head room...

OP must be didnt search good but anyhow speaker is rated 350wrms each & if is for "daily use" then a good 2chan amp when bridged that does a clean 700-1000wrms is good , all those ole skool amps mentioned above are well suited

if u want to go carshow & put rel powa in d speaka mc then cut them high like around 220-250hz & use a ppi 2400 or usamps 2000x & dont play it for long at that level of power ....

The Boston GT 2200 will do rated power! They are very well put together, effeciency is just about average for any class a/b.
The x-overs are very easy and has a nice roll of
These 2 channels amps can also be banpassed, but that's mostly for midbass freq.(Q-tune as well, but that's also for more midbass freq)
freq res. from 10hz-95khz
You will get optimal output at 2ohm mono or 1ohm stereo, So you could actually run a pair of 8'' and 6" 8ohm loudspeakers and be fine!
They do tend to run a little hot, being high current amps
I must admit they are pretty nice!

Make sure and supply them with good power and you won't be dissapointed!
If you are getting a good price, i say go for it! After all they weren't made 10-15yrs ago
