I think pioneer had one of these, they run pretty hot so just make sure its properly ventilated.

I'd say get another small cheap amp for the tweets and low pass those faital's at 5kHz with the kicker.

I donno if 12volt still in operation but they were the last known dealers for kicker afaik.

Give triple R a call and see if they have as well, I think I saw something of that sort on the wall when they were back at gulf city.

if not try fuzz, he may be able to source one.

May I ask why the Kicker btw and not another amp with similar power output and on borad xovers?

i just like the look of it and i 'heard' that the settings are very good, clean power, probably get more for what you paid....but what other amp you would recommend me to use that will play the speakers clean...for 3000 or less.

that kicker sx model out a while now , since around 2004\2005ish according to d manual http://www.kicker.com/sites/default/fil ... MANUAL.pdf

so finding 1 new will be hard , maybe used on ebay or car audio forums

a used ole skool ppi pcx 4125 or RF 800.4 goes for about 3k locally ...

have you looked at the sundown 100.4 and incriminator audio 6.4? Lp xovers can reach as high as 5kHz which is what you looking for.
the cerwin vega 800.4 comes close and will cost less but dosent have such on board xovers so you may have to look into an xover from the audio control line (or something with a bandpass filter such as the powerbass xover) to lpf the faitals at 5kHz.

from your choice in speakers and location I can tell what you will be listening to. That and the fact that the difference in power output is that of a few watts, you wont be able to tell the difference between these two amps side by side.
I'd go with the one that falls in my budget, has good warranty, good sales rep, good reputation and my choice will be the one with the most recent manufacture date.

question though, with a low pass filter of 5kHz on the amp, where you gonna put the tweeters? Those Tweets play from 5kHz up not so?
