SUBWOOFER REPAIR

well i just punctured my sum surround about an inch , (orion hcca 12.2) would there be any noticable difference in sound or should i repair it and how?

just fill it with silicone. you wouldn't hear the difference.

yeah some clear silicone, you punctured the cone right?

well at least it didnt go all d way through, just checked it so silicone would be the best option, ?

silicone would do the trick


orion does have a full recone kit for this model sub desinged for feild replacement

silcone from the inside though, so it does not look dumb.

yes take out the sub and put a film of silicone under the suspension behind the cut

and make sure after it dries check it to see if it has any air leaks

where locally has the replacement kits for these
and anyone knows the price for the 12?

replacment kits are only for the 2009/2010 models and up and not prior models

kits can be ordered from sound and security in valpark
