the term 'subwoofer' can also be used to describe a low freq driver in an enclosure.. e.g. home theater subwoofer etc..

to create your own subwoofer, i would recommend downloading and using the free program WinISD

google it, you will find the link to download it

read all the help files in that program as well, there is ALOT of helpful stuff there..

what speaker is it? do you have the factory manual?

the power of the speaker has little to do with the box design, you have to look at the T/S parameters of the sub to properly determine the right box for it..

understanding T/S parameters is not an easy thing, so that's why i would let a program handle that for me.. WinISD or BassBox will use the T/S parameters of the sub and calculate an ideal enclosure for you.. (i prefer WinISD for ease of use and accuracy)

ORRRR

When you PM'd me I could have sworn you wanted to build a driver.

Bassbox Pro is easier to use than WinISD. they're not 100% accurate but say what... it helps.
