We are working on the SAZ-2000D for next year.

Also looking into expanding the SAE line to include two and four channel amplifiers.

A larger amp is possible as well - but we don't have any guarantees yet.

I spoke to the local dealer on the phone just now, he said prices are goin to be a bit higher on the 09 models due to better design & incorporated technology etc.
from what I've seen around here the current amps are already monsters, I cant imagine what the new ones will do

whats the biggest right now - 3k right ?

hey we need MORE POWER (without strapping 2 amps that is) - how about a 5 or 6k+ amp for some serious spl numbers ...

Yah, the 3000D is the biggest amp right now. We are looking into bigger amps but I don't have an ETA.

who says they don't have 5000Wrms amps...

HIGH VOLTAGE TESTING:

Thanks to Sean we did some power testing on the SAZ-3000D yesterday. Power testing was done on two RE MT 15" woofers, dual 1 ohm coils (0.7 ohm DCR) with a rise to around 0.87 ohms at our test frequency.

Power Output at Maximum Volume before Protection:

67.4 volts
77.1 amps
5196 watts

Power supply voltage was 16.5 volts at rest dropping to around 14.5 volts.

I'm not sure how to convert it as Fen must add his import costs... but USA MSRP pricing will be $819 USD. I'm guessing if you use the same formula from the other amps you could estimate Trinidad pricing.

---------

I just went 16v in my SPL Jeep two days ago... I gained 1.3 dB using only a single 15" woofer on two 3000s. That means at least 43% more power (4290 watts) -- and I don't even have a charger or alternator on my 16v bank yet.

Not to mention that SPL gains are not linear in reality since I was already over 6000 watts on ONE speaker - so you are looking at right around 5kw per amp to get that 1.3 dB gain :)

I have about 2 square feet on the hatch - which is just a few pieces scattered around. It was some extra scraps I had.

Other than that - there is no deadener in the vehicle.

If I move the box around and face the port to one side it increased my peak to 53 Hz but decreases my peak score by a full dB!

that's interesting, never expected moving that small box around would change the peak freq.. must be getting more cancellation at the mic in that position..

btw, congrats on the 154.4! amazing score from just 1 15".. did you pick a name for it yet??

Just calling it the "Monster" sub - I will be building a FEW of these for Team Sundown in the USA but we are working on other models that will be even better for production - will probably see our NS-X model round April or May.

I have a feeling it will be even louder than the Monster.
