wtk: average box price

i got an estimate today to do a box for a pair of 12s...... the figure wasn't too pleasing..... whats the average cost to build an enclosure like this?

how much cubs you looking for? sealed ported? fiberglass? flared ports..etc be more specific....
generally around 600 and up....

3/4" mdf is almost 300 per sheet and in some areas jsut over 300

you still have glue,carpet,screws etc plus the labour charge

if they quoted u $600 dat is a fair price

but ryan u know how well my boxes sound - u could have pm or called me anytime u around come & hear d atomic quantum & u will wonder if is dat 1 sub could pound so ...... :wink:

fellahs i know these things.... but each chamber per sub costing approx 1400......

i was catering round 600 per sub......

wut yall think now :shock:

as far as i understand its no fancy box... normal slot ported biz

ppl think i jokin, i sud have recorded the man saying it for evidence.... i say boss YA SURE daz d right price ya tellin meh...... he confirmed yes

i thought i was hearin things..... now why wud an installer call such a high price?
because they have a certain reputation.....?
i really wanna do the install there but that price :!:

the man told me he will do the car but that price is somehow indicating to me indirectly he doh wanna do it.... i eh noe....

hahaha yeah i feel the man doh wanna do your car so he trying to run you with them prices..... thaz jus ridiculous! IF is $1400 per chamber..... that costing $2800..... and i doubt it'll be too much of a difference from a box costing a quarter that price!
