Using JL XR 6.5" Comps in Bi Amp mode for mids... Nice clean system and gets very loud if you want it to

^^^ that way, you can cross your midbass lower, without affecting your tweets.

Bi amping, and active crossovering is the way to go. Good job.

Would really like to hear this

Well I could probably describe it to you... The bass is real smooth... every note comes out with equal emphasis. The transient response in nice and tight. The low freq response is incredible.

The midbass is accurate and sharp. It pulls the music to the front so most of the times you hear all your music up front.

The BIAMP mode on the comps made a huge difference in clarity. The 88o prs also has a network mode so instead of FR R and SUB you get High Mid and Low. The JL tweeters are Aluminium dome so its loud enough but the rubber suspension on them makes them suttle and not too harsh.

I do all the processing off the HU. All crossover settings and equalisation is from the 880PRS.

People say JL is too expensive, but believe me, you get what you pay for. Quality equipment and sound...

^^^different strokes 4 different folks

using myself as an example - i enjoy a strong but low freq body hitting clean bassline BUT i prefer d car speakers over d dj speakers 4 daily use ...my personal habit is glass up & a\c always on - dont care 2 bang 4 outside ppl 2 hear (unless they come into my blocked around workshop 4 a demo)

just IMO eh & i NOT saying what better or trying to force any opinion on any body so allyuh doh start with d whole setta this vs dat quarreling again eh ....... :|
