late as usual, but

i'm 22 and i've been hooked on car audio since we got our b13 (standard 5  )

i'm interested in everything car audio related but i'm not competition driven.

its a hobby for me and i have done many installs over the years and have always learned something from each of them (so i can only imagine the knowledge gained from formal training)

may one day do it as a sideline, but i can't really handle the owners hovering.
(sorry SR..............is not mine, so i had to  )

Actually working on a car and hearing the result of your work at the end for me is what its all about.

im 20, i've been in car audio since i was about 15

i recently ( about 2 years) deicded to do car audio installation and sales as my full time job.

i do any kind of system, be it competition, spl or sq but i mainly like to do custom "pretty" installs.

also it would be nice to have some formal training with regards to i.c.e because u can always learn something new, weither it be physics behind car audio or just tips and tricks.

I'm 21 been in this thing since I was about 12.. taking apart ole radio speaker and plugging it into my cassette Walkman and ringin out..

I've really grown alot since then basically gained alot of knowledge from reading through product manuals @ first and later on many online forums.. i have gained alot of knowledge from there and has helped me alot with practical applications.. I would be very interested in formal training..

I have only entered competition on 2 occasions IDBL and gallery and surprisingly won 2 trophy's thus far. its a nice experience I'm just basically trying to gather as much experience from all aspects of car audio as i can.. getting into some Sound Quality applications this year lets see how it goes :)

thread going nice

i started doing car audio since form 1
first install was a pioneer deck and 4 6" on the backdash of a kingswood

use to buy all the car audio magazines since then and i probably still have all at home
learnt a lot from those magazines while in high school
and last year i got to meet a few of the techinical writers for those mgas as well

entered my 1st sq comp at the age of 18 and won car was built by myself

the rest is history

I'm 20 i'm kind of a late bloomer i got into the ice jus after i sat cxc sum 4 yrs ago and i've been a total addict since then lol....i have a basic idea and concept of the science of the music but i don't stand for basic i would love to learn more it would defiantly be a breath of fresh air for me ......i tried my hand at spl last yr at an iasca meet and boi was i totally unprepared {cause lack of knowledge} ...tried CP after even more unprepared .....I simply love the competition makes me strive for more ....currently i'm still in a learning phase both at school and in the ice field so time is kind of limited but i love the sport ie music ta death all of it CP,SQ AND SPL ......So i would defiantly be intrested if someone gave a little pointers my way once in awhile :)

im 23, i grew up around car music as my dad always had he hard pong & my uncle was d same way, i remember wen my dad had his clockface pioneer & 2 motorola tweets with 4 10" becca or bekka in d back, i always had an interest in car audio but it never really came out of me until d age of 12-13, now i can proudly say i'm not an amature anymore but still not a pro, i strive 2 learn more as the years go by, ICE had helped me alot over d years & as old ppl say "practice makes perfect".

i would love formal training sessions.... and into competition... other installers usually install my ICE but one day id rather do it on my own..

i am only interested in car audio that looks really neat and sounds impressively loud.. something i inherited from my entire family... im a guy that would work day and night for finance to build my vehicle just for COMPETITION

im 19 by the way
