^When we link up later we'll hear how it sounds.

Is yours sealed or vented?

RE SX is a much better daily sub than the ID.

DJ Q, if I were you, I would keep the SX and do a raised floor at the expense of your spare. (You can keep that in your backseat).
If you like to go between sealed and ported, you can build a ported enclosure with a port plug and use at your discretion.
I would use fabrication skills to work around physical constraints while keeping existing equipment.

Oh ok... didn't realise RE > ID

And I'm not sacrificing the spare. I need my backseat because I carry passengers a lot.

But plans may shift and I may scrap and rebuild a more SQ oriented system.

Was going with:

- Pioneer 7100bt
- DLS C6A/RS6A
- ID Q 10
- Some 4" coaxials for the rear
- Powerbass 700.5

And that's over $7,000 right there :|

Ok, I'd go with Rene's suggestion of a single 10 ported, and build a plug to play with the sound. Skip the coax and put more money into the head unit if you can.

Well in that case I can just use the head unit to power the speakers and buy a 500w mono :d

the 6.5" i mean. was testing one in a sealed .3 ft enclosure i goin to use for mids, and it goes low.
because it so small and only 100 rms u could use a pair... those come in pairs.

food for thought... in the last sq competition in the first install shown here, this competitor's whole trunk is empty and i believe that is his spare tire underneath there. He is also rumored to be using the biggest sub in sq competition in Trinidad.

In the second install shown here, this competitor also retained his spare and with the setup shown here, scored .7 db behind the wagon with the DD 9515.

This is exactly what I was thinking of doing with the amp.

This is exactly how I want the sub to fit.

Thanks Jeff.

have worked with a ID 12" with a 4" aeroport tuned 27-28hz & it sounded great just like a idmax but of course not as loud

u can save some $ & space by getting d 4 chan PB instead instead of d 5chan & either leave out d rear speakers completely or like u said deck power on d rear...

It have ANY thread you don't mention powerbass? :|....seriously?

The person who wants the advice brought up PB first. Rovin was just trying to help the man save some cash with another option within the same brand djQ wanted to use.

I don't know the price or if there's a dealer in T'dad but the Hertz line of subs seems to be designed for small sealed enclosures. If you're willing to import then that could be an option.

If you're not in a hurry I hear that the HAT sub to be released will function in a very small enclosure. ~0.3cu ft. (I'm assuming that doesn't include driver displacement.) I don't need to tell you were to get more information on that product.

Doesn't need to get breath-taking loud... just loud enough for a basshead INside the car.
Thanks for the idea with the four channel.
