all i can tell u is budget take it step by step an buy things u know u can use in de long run cause music addictive.. buy ur deck an procesors first. i say alpine deck for a first choice or even the new pioneer dvd deck i forget the model number an since u are a new to car audio i wudnt advise u to buy audio control procesors unless someone explain to u how to use it so u can get simple cross overs like kicker kx3..

Hey guys been a while but i made the first step and bought a alpine iDA-X305S now to get a amp and subwoofer ....any advice ?
And what are the advantages and disadvantages of a 5 channel amp....i'm thinking it would help simplify the whole system but friends saying if you have problems with one ampyour whole system will suffer...

main advantage of the 5channel is a single amp playing entire system which makes install easier current draw is also less.disadvantage would be less headroom and room for upgrades...as stated before budget is major issue when it comes to car audio.

is like a more powerful version of a deck, it gives more power to the system, but if u want more bass, u would not be able to get more power. i suggest having u bassline separate from ur high pass, so that if u have good high range, u can upgrade u bass, and vice versa.

Hey Guys, yeah i know it been a while i've been here but i did a little work on the car and got to the stage of putting in the audio. I bought a alpine IDA-X305S and checking out some amps , what are the advantages and disadvantages of using a 5 channel amp ?
