jeff wrote:this is true but in your case i only now realized recently how much power u had on the subs

if you put your subs in a properly designed sealed enclosure with the correct amount of power it will play lower and louder than how you presently have it,

as i mentioned it will be louder than how u have it now with the correct amt of power. The reason for this, is because you are not using enough power now and your enclosure design needs a lil work.

Another ported enclosure would be louder tho but try it sealed 8-)

the difference in price between the ultimi and the sc is a bit of a gap.. is it worth it?
what would be some of the notable difference if there are any?

I don't usually post reviews on anything. But purchased a SC12 for a build, and was quite impressed. Very nice and smooth, and still has the attack required.
Liked it so much that I got an SC10 for the smaller system also and before doing a full install, put it in a wrongly sized box and tried it on the already built car. After hearing it and thinking it's impossible for a sub to naturally play well in such situations I took the box to the house and put it as the sub(with Peerless mids, Fountek ribbons for highs, Power provided by an Adcom amp). Still performed extremely well, even supposedly "underpowered". Can't wait to get it in the correct box and have it run in properly. As far as my ears can tell it is a very high quality sub. But that's just my opinion. It works for me. I'll advise anyone to hear it before deciding on a sub though. Worth bumping the thread for too!
