At home - TC Sounds TC1000 12. Those who are coming to the ICE Club meeting on March 12th will hear it.
In car - Altomobile Falstaff 10 - best SQ, but not very loud.
Best all-rounder is still the Diamond D6 12. I am still running the Diamond up till today.

PPI PRO FLAT PISTON 12" - used to rellll burn this sub... ..sounded real good though...but had to repair it bout 4 times by ratty opposite steves...first sub i ever owned

CERWIN VEGA VMAX 12" (ole skool one with the red ripple surround) - had an insanely high sensitivity 98db  got wayy louder than the ppi with same power and handled lows really well...i'd buy 10 of these if i can find them :)

2 KICKER L5 10's - box was made by balls and had curved PVC port like an elephant's tusk...they sound reallly loud for kicker's entry level square subs...1 of these 10's sounded more like a 12" back in those days...

ATOMIC ELE 15" - sub was fun as it was the biggest size sub i ever owned (i.e a 15") box made by miguel and used this sub to first enter car shows back in 2006...that was when shows were still at an average joe level...had a SS PCA1500d on it and used to win single 15" with it an ting

DD 9512 - was definately my favorite sub i ever owned that i used so far...got insanely loud for just a 12" and took sum crazy power handling despite the 1500rms rating..i'd recommend this sub to anyone wanting a monster 12" :D

T3 TSNS 12" - welll....only time will tell...i aint get to use it yet so when i do i'll update this post...

My best also. It hurt me when I had to sell them. Never stopped impressing me. Then when you factor in its price, you just have to respect it.

Diamond Audio TDX12d2.

Even though I owned it for a short time, even less than the time I owned its smaller brother the M12d2, the TDX surpassed every requirement for a subwoofer, except one, its mounting depth.

This sub got low, SQ refrence 18hz low. And it did so with the least amount of mechanical noise in a great deal of subs Ive heard. Low end extension was phenominal. I didnt have it long enough to run it hard enough to comment on how loud it could get. If I had that sub now, I'd put it basket out, inside my cabin!!!

JBL W10GTi- durability, lowness, loudness, easiest to get to sound good in a crappy box.

Titanium Power SD1255SPL- to show people that "fs" really means nothing, also one hell of a woofer when it comes to taking a beating and living to beat another day.

IDMAX- plainly because of the low end extension and tone you get from such a sub.

RE Audio XXX- for that freaky weirdness kinda feeling that you get from a seriously low and powerful note.

I'd second that on the 1200Gti - my first set of subs too. And I thought one wouldn't be enough for my Mazda 323 at the time...

My current favourites? The Exodus Audio Shiva 12's. Just wish they'd do a neo version...

Nope - the older Shivas didn't have XBL2 motors and cast baskets. Xmax for the older Shivas was also a bit lower.

The older Shivas live on in the form of the Parts Express 12" DVC - http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdet ... er=295-185. The basic design remains the same, but the PE has push-terminals and a rubber boot that the olders Shiva did not have.

Of all the expensive impressive powerful subs i've owned and still own, eg kicker 18" solo x, 15 l7, Earthquake s15.

The cheapest sub i've ever bought the Phoenix Gold Tantrum 12" is by far the best sub i've own, 350wrms, outlasted a lot of higher rated power sub without ever failing, really surprised me.
