low budget components

a friend (same fella from before na) is looking for some front door speakers. i recomended that he get seperates, and his budget is about $5-600 max for the pair. the only thing i can come up with offhand are the phoenix gold octane r seps from sound and security.. anything else out there in this price range that yall cud recommend? rem, no more than $600 a pair! (will be getting about 75w a side from a pioneer a class amp)

ummm it have some cheaper jbl components.........I thin Auto Village does sell that........might bea little more than 600 though .......I remember calling them about some a while back.....

It have Jensen too.....but i eh too sure if they still makin separates......if they are Electromania likely to have that...........

BTW ya sure is not AB class amp ya talkin bout ??? :D

DLS classic B6 components...they retail for around $800-850 new..i cud see if i cud get you a used set for aroun $600

directed xtreme 6 1/2 components - $500.00 and they sound damn good

^^ well he did say low budget, but..... low quality? i think there is some quantum thats like real cheap.

those directed 6 1/2 comps VS phoenix gold octane-r comps
they're 700 and 650 new respectively
quality wise

if youre reaching 700, you might as well put the lil bit for the dls and get plenty more sound quality. i.m.o.

phoenix gold octane r sounds pretty good for that price range
