which sub would hit harder

Postby shawn_093 » October 27th, 2014, 9:33 am

Good day tuners, looking to but my first sub, the choices I have so far are the DD 612 or the loudforce 8512 would be giving them 700 to 800 watts rms. Want to kno which would be better or if I have anymore choices my budget is 1600 for the sub.

Well since pressure = force / area (kg m s^1/ m^2 = Kg m s^1 / m^2 ) it depends on the mass of the driver, velocity it is travelling at and the area that comes into contact with you.

Id prefer using a sub for bass instead of getting lick down with it but if you wanna get lick down to be hit hard, then by all means, fix up.

certainly you'd want to use a sub with a large ferrite magnet, the neodymium type is a no no to get this result. the ones with the extra pole piece protruding at the back may hit harder due to the smaller area to apply the concentrated force. remember is not just about the sub, its also about how high you drop it from. gravity can be a beyotch at times.

Did some light research...the loudforce is heavier by a few pounds.. you should go with that and ask a gym instructor to throw it at you..they supposed to be strong

When some men in here say lows they mean 40hz crix pan pang pah lang badang bass. That's not bass.

How about you give us some info on purpose of the system, what kind of music you play, budget and all what else you have or intend to buy to make up your system.

I am using the loudforce 80 series and it plays any and everything. My build thread is just a few posts below.
I have quite a few pals using digital designs sub's that play any and everything as well.

Once you answer the above questions I / we can be of better assistance. Remember though "a subwoofer is only as good as the box it is in" as loud sound says and he is a guy that knows his stuff.

I listen to all types of music but the main genre is rap. In all I'm looking to spend no more 5k, that includes sub, amp, mids and highs. Already have a amp for the mids, pioneer hu and clarion pre amp, the mono amp I intend to buy is the LFA 8001D RS.

Model numbers of equipment?

What are some rap songs with these lows you speak of?

Does the song "bang bang" by nikki , arianna and the other for the profile of lows for you? What about tove lo "high" hippie sabotage remix?
Can you hit the notes in krewella and Nicky Romero "legacy"?

Also, is it a strict in car entertainment system to listen to when you driving around?

One that is in car and might be used to play a little something home or when with friends as entertainment within close proximity?

Rum shop / quinam lime system with that " car show" bass (or lack of for that matter) where soul provider is a song with bass

Make noise and disturb the peace.

Songs like ludacris blue berry yum yum, Wiz kahlifa on my level, young geezy put on, rae sremmurd no flex zone.

What I have is a pioneer 16ub, clarion eqs746, (its not the greatest but I'll use it for now) soundstream l4.640.

What I'm buying 2 prv audio 6MB200 and 2 8MB450 not sure about highs yet, loudforce LFA 8001D RS

I confused...

It so sad how people today only focused on equipment and not about getting the install done right.

It's not that I'm not focused on getting the install done right its just that I want to kno exactly what I'm buying as I am from Tobago and don't have a lot of extra time so making multiple trini is not something I can do. I want to come down and get everything in one trip

That 6" will not play midbass, at all. You will be left with a huge gap in the freq response.

The soundstream amp is OK but don't push it trying to make power and clip the sh1t out of the speakers burning them.

Specs on the deck BTW? I feeling lazy to read.
