I'm using a power safe sbs40 in my car for over a year and it working good. You may have to modify your battery terminals though. If you are using car audio equipment (2 amp system or more) you may have to get an stinger spp1200 or something else similar because power safe batteries were not really design for car audio purposes but for telecommunication and related field use. I currently have a 2 amp system in my car and the battery seems to be keeping up but I might upgrade later on still.

these batteries are good as an auxiliary battery. but if you get them from someone in the industry and not brand new well... what happen is companies change theses batts when they have almost completed there life cycle so by the time you get dem they might last a year or two and that's it.
in my opinion i know someone who has two and dey work very well. would not recommend for engine bay though.

Its always better in my opinion to use batteries that were actually designed for Car Audio applications.

Power safe recommends that their batteries should be used for the following applications

Telecommunications - Outside Plant
Telecommunications - Wireless
Electric Utility/Switchgear
Emergency Lighting
Railroad Signal
