my audio system cconsist of a head unit
1 900.1 phoenix gold mono block
1 re 12'' sub
1 orion mids amp

yea it would.....i have a 2v HU...................is jus a higher voltage would be better.......better signal to amps.....

.....which orion mids amp u running?

I noticed u were quick to give brands (and some models) of the other stuff BESIDES ur HU....that means u're prolly not happy with it anyway and with good reason...if u don't have a good strong clean source signal to start with, no amount of amplification or processing is gonna help u

6 RCA type 4V preouts...reads CDs, MP3s and WMAs...time correction (to compensate for differences in firing distances between ur various speakers and u)...bass engine and media expander...real real nice HU there meng...

I'm running the Alpine CDA-7894 with no complaints...only mines can't play WMAs but it's not like I care anyway

a 2v hu can work. if you have not gotten processors as yet, you can get some with decent line drive capabilities, to take care of the voltage preout issue.

^^^ also note... with the linedriver, be weary that you NOT turn up the output gains a lot.. you could be bringing in a lot of noise into the system.
