A calibrated rta on the cheap for iphone and android

The product page on PE`s site recommends :

AudioTools app (from Studio Six Digital)

Not sure what else is available to idevice users that accept d cal file.

This thing comes calibrated or does it need calibration still? I see PE says it needs calibrating on audio tools with Android devices but I not getting through to load anything.

u hadda use the calib file u download on the site but i haven used audio tools yet to see how it accepts the file

Then follow these instructions:
AudioTool supports loading a calibration file for the Dayton Audio iMM-6 microphone. These files have names like "99-0101.txt" when downloaded from Dayton's website. For use in AudioTool, you will simply need to rename the file so that it has the .cal filetype (e.g. "99-0101.cal") and save it in the AudioTool directory on your Android phone. Then, in AudioTool, select the "Load Cal" option from the Menu, and choose the Dayton file from the list. The calibration data will be loaded, power summed to the 1/3 octave bins used by AudioTool, and saved in your Preferences - there is no further need to load the file whenever you start AudioTool, unless you change the calibration method or alter the calibration values manually.

In audio tool remember to go into the menu and "Set 1/3 octave calibration" before attempting the "Load Cal" option. Also remember to "Finish Calibration", else the file isn't stored on the next startup.

I think I made a boo-boo, I have no audio tool directory on my tab. Even searched for it, nothing. But the app is there.
My screen looks a bit different from what is shown in the second link. Later some more reading shall be done an a second attempt made.

The directory won't be there unless you save a spectrum file. Only then it's created as "..../sdcard/audiotool" or ..../sdcard0/audiotool" (depending on the device) and the spectrum file will be in there with an .at extension
