personally dd subs are on my list of subs that do not impress me for accurate reproduction of music
yes they can play loud but i have yet to hear one that actually played accurate low bass .............their are quite a few other popular subs that make this list as well

aluminium eclipse will be my first choice and then it will be a toss up betwen the kicker and the orion as the kicker will play louder but the orion will play smoother and go lower
depends on the individual as to waht they lookng for for me i would take the orion over the kicker as i prefer sound quality
