MECA 4 Results

Postby Sully » September 11th, 2012, 6:45 am

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=460412

Since the topic locked, it's time to post a new one.

I have a question for the man in charge of MECA, or any of the competitors for that matter.
Were there any categories in SQL where there was more than one competitor?

Why is the thread locked ?

Shouldn't it be open for these kind of queries?

Nope. every one was in their own category because of build. Is there a problem?

For some mysterious reason, some of my posts are randomly locked.

I would imagine that whoever is locking them would let me know before whats wrong with it before it reaches to the stage of being locked.

would you rather it be removed as it really doesnt belong in that forum??

the other topic is posted in the IASCA forum and it pertians to an IASCA event

however if you feel there is a need to be a discussion regarding that event and its results you can create a topic in the old talk forum and it will be allowed

and yes i locked it

Here's your answer.

IMO it should remain open in ICE because it is relevant to this forum and not so much in ole talk.

Just for curiosity....how does one go about getting a dedicated MECA forum?

MECA's website has a dedicated forum. I will talk to both major Car audio forum hosts in trinidad to see who will sponsor MECA TT a section.

How much harm is having MECA's results up in the ICE section really doing to TriniTuner?
Should it really be in OLD Talk?
I think that MECA actually encourages viewing and discussion.

Essentially what is being done is causing more harm than good.
That is just my 2 cents

Normally , good sense would prevail.
Something's not normal about this.

I must commend MECA on their prizes for the event.
The cost to participate was affordable, the trophies were great, and there were some really great hampers and giveaways which were won by the competitors.
It was also nice to see their supporting vendors being represented by MECA in the show.

I also understand that some of their staff were under the weather, but the show still pulled through nice.

Kudos to them.

Wow... sounded like it was a nice event. Too bad I couldn't make it. Next one for sure...

but I agree, MECA has kept up a high standard for their shows, their prizes, communication and event planning. I see the membership growing also.

Thank you gents. We always try to give as much as possible and not water down anything. We did more than 40+ SPL checks for the MECA 4 event. I believe that, was an excellent achievement and it displays an obvious interest that the competing population has. Sound Quality had a total of 6 persons. Which was better than 5 from the last event. I am hoping to see more sq competitors in the lanes for the Island Championship event on November 18th.
