Cactus/Stetsom/Soundigital

Postby Twisted D.... » August 13th, 2010, 4:05 pm

Between the Cactus Sounds 7K , The Stetsom 7K , & The Soundigital 8k.
Which one do you think will produce the smoothist sounding bassline . Now I know they all put out different power @ different voltages but in terms of the cleanest and smoothist for playing music which one will it be?

u have to look at specs like THD, Damping factor, signal to noise ratio etc...

How does these affect the signal the amp reproduces?

in this case (i assume gallery bass) wouldn't box design, port tuning, crossover points and a proper electrical system to prevent low voltage induced distortion be more critical in getting a loud clean bass..

I would have to agree with 3stage, you probably wont actually notice a big difference in terms of quality in either of these amps..

However the Stetsom and SoundDigital have an advantage in terms of current draw..

Full range class D's tend to need alot less current to operate at full crank.
