Postby snouter » June 4th, 2009, 12:19 pm

I dont know if is just me but I find that for bass tens sound better that twelves inside the car, to me it give you a punchy sound that is not too overbearing. Anyone else share this view?

hmm i would say box/system design is the most important factor here

i've personally heard systems using no sub woofers and very small ones

the smallest one i've heard extensively is my 7" elemental designs in a t-line @ 28hz and you won't believe the smoothness and tonality of that bass

from what i'm seeing, the best set usually is the most simple, and smallest

snouter, I watching your sig....you still hunting or you found one yet?

anyhow, to each his own, I prefer the smooth deep bass that a 15" sub will deliver.

my only problem of the 7" is limited to not going too low... no doubt they sound great, but i'd prefer a single 10" oz matrix... just ask pimptacular he competes with one...

depends on who u ask & what they consider loud enough & whats too loud or not loud enough

i do like a 2 10s combo since thats im also running - depending on d subs & box design etc does give a nice smooth non-over bearing bass like u said , mine is in a sealed box so its def not over bearing , hits deep & blends nicely with d front stage

takes up less trunk space & less weight too ....

i'd always like OZ audio, for sql & spl purposes dey work great, im usin an mtx t7510-04 & it works wonders, i had ppl tell me from far dey hearing d bass loud, some say deep/low, to me 10's really sound great, but it boils down to enclosure build & system equipment/installation.
