so few of todays recordings actually have the dynamics of olden days ... it doesnt take a hardcore sq man to hear the differences

waaay too much compression in music these days.

very interesting.. so it's basically the record producers fault, not really the compressed audio formats..

the compressed audio formats add the the problem. Also when normalizing music to high using peak normalization, this introduces clipping as well.

no it doesn't... using the RMS method introduces clipping... and distortion.
