i think what he means is in terms of a 2channel amp of normal specs say

150wrms x 2 @4ohm
300wrms x2 @ 2ohm
600wrmsx1 @4ohm mono

in stereo mode u get less power @ 4ohm than when bridged @4ohm

in stereo mode the maximum power you will get is 300Wrms x 2 = 600Wrms total

in the bridged mode the maximum power is 600Wrms total also...

in other words you will get the same power weather you use a stereo connection or a bridged (mono) connection..

4 ohm mono is two 2ohm channels eh..

and demboyzaudio, das not a good explanation.

Stereo refers to two separate channels (long time used to be two separate recordings) each dedicated to left or right. Stereo is short for Stereophonic (I think) which stands for two channels.

Mono, short for monophonic, is simply one dedicated source, or channel, for the sound. This is where we get the term 'monoblock'. It simply means that the stereo is mixed together to form one channel so that ONE signal may be sent (usually to a subwoofer)

true
but in stereo mode at 4ohm u'll get 150wrms as opposed to mono @ 4ohm which is 600wrms

now at 2ohm stereo i know u will get 300x2

X Factor, you can't compair 4ohms in Stereo mode to 4ohms in bridged mode..

because, stereo at 4ohm is similar to bridged at 8ohms or
stereo at 2ohms is similar to bridged at 4ohms...

(similar - same power output)

example of d power.
Hifonics zeus ZXI1006
250 X 2 @ 4ohm (stereo)
500 X 2 @ 2 ohm (stereo)
1000 X 1 @ 4 ohm bridged (mono)

mono give more power dan stereo 4 ohm.

like i usin my 600 titan @ 4 ohm mono (bridged) i wud like to run it @ 4 ohm stereo but i wont get enough power.
but i will test that soon.

demboyzaudio, A MONO 4OHM IS TWO 2 OHM STEREO. THAT'S HOW YOU GET 4OHM BRIDGED. 2OHMS + 2OHMS=4OHMS
