I kinda curious to know since i have never heard an iPod connected directly to a deck ....what they sound like....if there is any difference in the signal quality......and overall sound quality .....

depends on the quality of the mp3s etc

The higher the bitrate of the mp3 the better it will sound.

I use it, no problems. Works pretty well, but don't expect the same level of detail as you get with original discs. In driving conditions, especially with the way my muffler sounds, I'm not hearing a difference unless it's a really poorly encoded file.

Sounds good once you encode around 192kbps MP3. Due to the small size of my iPod's HD (15gb) I down-encode my mp3 collections to ACC 144kbps VBR, and I have to say it sounds pretty close to original CD quality. You can hear the difference if you not moving and the aircon is on low, but once you driving, with the road noise, aircon etc, you can't really tell the difference.
