amps

Postby importzxtt » November 26th, 2006, 12:05 am

ok i was looking around for some mono block amps i need a 500 watt mono running at 2ohms because my sub it dual voice coil at 4ohms each and im running it in parallel mode
so my question is well ive been seeing some mono amps that run 500 watts rms at 4ohms and 1000 total watts at 2 ohms can i buy one of these and run my 400 watt rms sub with 500 watts rms at 4ohms when ran in parallel or do i just need to buy a 500 watt rms mono at 2 ohms?

if ur sub is a dual 4ohms ur only choice of wiring it to a mono block is 2ohms parallel or 8ohms in series ...... :fadein:

oo ok so hmm if i get a 2 channel amp then i could run it how? in series but at 8 ohms right? so my best option would be to buy the expensive 500w rms mono block at 2 ohms and run the sub in parallel right
right now i have my eyes on the audiobahn A8001DT
