Postby Ignorant Ignis » November 27th, 2013, 12:09 pm

dear tuner,

this hasn't been enforced for some time ... but you should all be aware and prepare before traveling to jamaica in light of the recent uprisings. Without your TT immunization card you stand the risk of being deported.

HIGH COMMISSION FOR JAMAICA

TRAVEL ADVISORY

The South East Regional Health Authority of the Kingston and St. Andrew Health Department in Jamaica has advised that in keeping with the International Health Regulations (IHR) of 2005, Jamaica now requires Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificates for all travelers coming from countries with the risk of yellow fever transmission.

These countries include:
 Argentina
 Brazil
 Colombia
 Ecuador
 French Guyana
 Guyana
 Panama
 Paraguay
 Peru
 Suriname
 Trinidad and Tobago
 Venezuela

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines Yellow Fever as an acute viral hemorrhagic disease transmitted by infected mosquitoes. The "yellow" in the name refers to the jaundice that affects some patients when the virus attacks the liver. Yellow Fever can be prevented by a vaccine. The International Yellow Fever vaccination certificate becomes valid 10 days after vaccination and remains valid for 10 years.

All persons seeking to travel to Jamaica from these countries are therefore required to be vaccinated at least ten (10) days ahead of any planned travel to Jamaica and show proof by way of an international vaccination certificate on arrival at the airport. Please contact your doctor or the nearest public health facility regarding the availability of the vaccine.

Rally was good fun today, but some proper usage of the internet would have made it a lot easier to figure out what stages were being run and in what order etc... Still a great time in the orange groves though

Will discuss it more when I am sober and rested
