On February 16th, 2020, CREATIVE AUTO RECREATIONAL SPORTS will be having their first motorsport event for the year. After a great DynoDay turnout, we know Autocross is going to be jam packed full of competitors racing for the fastest time in their classes. Head2Head is our warm up event where all (members and non-members) are invited to bring their friends and family for an action packed day full of side by side racing.
What is a Head2Head event?
It’s otherwise known as Prosolo, where 2 cars race a mirrored course which includes a drag racing style launch and straight away coupled with Autocross styled obstacles guiding you through several turns back to the finish line. It tests acceleration, braking AND handling. There are a wide variety of cars that participate in these events. From bone stock AD Wagons, to heavily modified Subarus Imprezas and everything in between. We sometimes even see drift and rally cars taking a run to setup and shakedown their machines.
Who can enter and what are the requirements?
ANYONE with a valid drivers license can compete. We even encourage new drivers to participate as it teaches them good car control. There are a few important things you need to pass the inspection. You must have:
>Working, properly installed, seat belts. OEM belts are accepted.
>No vehicular fluids should be leaking on the track. Absolutely NO leaking or damaged fuel lines.
>Working brakes and e-brake..
>Battery must be clamped down. OEM clamp is accepted.
>Road worthy tires. Wear marks will be checked.
>Safety helmet required. Helmets are available to rent from the club on race day.
Can you bring your family?
Of course you can. It's a family friendly event.
So feel free to come, participate and have a good lime with friends and view some fun racing.
