You caught the highest score? 219? From the Amateur class.

Those AMA guys are stirring the pot for sure.

I wouldn't say that the scores are low overall. They are about the same as the last competition. There are a few scores there than may pull the overall average down, but there are reasons for those.

1. Dinelle: His car was judged 2 seat at the last event and 1 seat in Jan. The vehicle is tuned for the drivers side, so the overall average score will lower because of lower scores on the staging.
2. Aaron: Didn't compete at the Jan event, and didn't properly prepare for this event. His overall score was lower than it would have been had he prepared for the event.

The remaining scores were about average from the last event, with some competitors tuning adjustments either making the system score slightly better or worse, depending on the adjustments.

The advice I give to any competitor is to use the scoresheet comments to make the appropriate adjustments so that your score can be improved at the next event.

Tuning with the score sheet is the way to make points because at the end of the day, its the judge who has to listen and award points accordingly. Also, every ones hearing is different due to physical differences so the score sheet is the guide to an improved score. I have tried to tune my vehicle to 2 seat competition listening but no success thus far. It is quite a difficult task in my opinion.

A discussion of 2 seat systems could be a thread of its own. If you want a 2 seat system you need to start with the build. Tuning will only get you so far, the rest of it comes down to the actual installation.

I didnt compete In January.

My last event was the finals last year.

My combined/averaged 2 seat score at that show was 232.5. My single seat score was 239.

Lower scores yes.

Lots more work to do.

My target this year is to break into the 250's from driver seat, and 240's combined.

We'll see.

Guys, been having a hard time figuring out what class to aim for/ I qualify for.

My install is all diy, no sponsorship, tweets in sails, midbass in OEM locations, sub in OEM cargo area.

Which class would I be placed in?

Tweets in sails moves you out of Rookie. But I'd have to see the install to figure it out.

Angeline Dopson, was moved out of Rookie, because her A pillars were remolded for her tweeters. The work was done by her son Andrew Dopson.

Didnt the Rookie rules, also categorically state that the install must NOT be done by a shop?

The Rookie rules also allow for a Manufacturer Assisted Team to support the Rookie, and evel allows for the Rookie to wear a Team Shirt. It evel allows for the Rookie to be entitled to Discounts on equipment and not be considered sponsorship.

Because we're splittling hairs, I just thought I'd elaborate...

Consistency people. Seriously...

Literally just screwed onto the sails, no modification to oem.

Ill just aim for a higher class and when the day comes where-ever Im placed is fine.

Pillars will be reverted to normal, but has to stay upholstered due to the hole that was cut.

The oem tweeter cups will be used to screw into the a pillars. I'll even ensure andrew uses drywall screws.

If needed, I can also provide DIY instructions for Fuzz's snat adhesive method which was used throughout his B13.
