IASCA Worldwide, Inc. announces that it will begin using the Term-Lab Measurement System in all of its Soundoff competition formats. “The move to Term-Lab will enable IASCA to immediately upload event results and simplify scoring” said Moe Sabourin, IASCA Director of Operations. “We have worked with different software packages in the past and after reviewing the Term-Lab advantage it made good sense to implement it.”
“I am very excited that IASCA has selected Term-LAB as their official measurement system” said Wayne Harris, President of Term-Lab “As one of the oldest and most respected sound-off organizations in the world, IASCA’s endorsement is a very great honor. I look forward to working with the IASCA officiating staff and competitors to ensure that the transition to Term-LAB will be a fun and enjoyable experience.”
Beginning at the 25th annual Spring Break Nationals, March 19 – 2011, all IASCA IdBL and Bass Boxing competition records in 2011 will be certified using Term-Lab. Work is at hand to establish electronic scoring in all IASCA Sound Quality and Installation competition formats as well including important judges comments in each section that give competitors a better understanding of the judges evaluation and how they can improve their system and scores.
“Term Lab will allow judges to access competitors’ score sheets through a web browser from a variety of Wifi devices” Sabourin continued to say “The Judges simply download the score sheet, add in scores and comments and when the evaluations are complete, the software will calculate scores, determine positions within each class, publishing the results to the IASCA website when the event is over”.
