I suggest trying pre-registration for these events.

I agree with the pre-registration idea.. It would definitely save time and it is less likely that competitors would lose points for late coming. Looking forward to it!

pre registration has nothing ot do with late coming

as you can pre register and still be late
ie not because you have pre registered measn you can show up in the afternnon for competition as your class may have already been completed

eg

competition starts at 9am
cut off time for registration is at 10am
but cut off time for your class may have been at 11 and you have not shown up as yet

competitors need to understand being on time is a must and pre registration only helps save ime between registration and cut off time for registration
read your rules
competitors must be present at the start of competition

Preregistration + tardiness penalties.
In the event of work constraints on competition day, talk to IASCA beforehand to see if any accommodations can be made.

Why the drive for pre-registration? Come 10mins earlier and fill out the form.

^^^There's a concern from the previous shows that registration on the day occupies too much time from an IASCA judge. I agree with this concern and I'm suggesting pre-registration for these events to avoid the admin overhead on the show day.
The other alternative is that I've offered help (from the ice club) with registration on the show day, but it is seen as a conflict of interest.

In the short term, pre-reg can be done until an IASCA admin assistant is available.

Based on the number of persons that pre-registered at the last event where pre-registration was offered I would say that the competitors don't want pre-registration or just want something that they do not use.

I support it, but if the competitors don't pre-register then why bother?

Pre-reg was an idea for the last event, but not actually offered.
A few competitors did want to pre-reg, but at the time, it was only possible to reg at the show.
