Previous experiences with iasca meetings show that the meetings always end up the same way ( everybody asking what IASCA doing for them, and total arguement ensues).

I really really really suggest/hope IASCA trinidad drafts up some sort of agenda, or else the meeting will go the way it always does. There are serious IASCA members who want the sport and the membership to grow positively, for their benefit, lets do this one right.

Could the agenda be posted, with estimated times for each topic?

its the interactivity that im worried about. usually its the ones that consume too much alcohol that ruim the meetings, repeating the same points already trashed out earlier in the meeting...

no bars too close to the auditorium right.

What I was thining is that all the topics would be covered in a set amount of time, and questions left for last. That way if there's something that is to be answered in a later topic, it wouldn't be covered twice.

or, they could just ask that everyone hold the questions for last. that kind of system depends on the type of meeting. if its discussion oriented, rather than the presentation of information, then it would work. keeping questions for last is sort of counterproductive to discussion type meetings.

^^ True, but it would avoid pointless bickering.

1. The rule that SPL must be judged by tracks 31 and 32 of the CD.
2. No adjustments between sound Q testing and SPL testing.
3. Number of judges present in a car while judging. If only one judge is required, then the other judge should consult the vehicle owner before entering the vehicle, and not just jump right in.
4. Clear start time, and cutoff times before one gets points deducted for late arrival, and enforcing this rule even if the event starts late.
5. Clarity on the issue of what IASCA logo is allowed on the vehicle, and if it must be affixed to the vehicle. And if it has to be visible from the outside of the vehicle.
6. The matter of how competitors are judged if they are not presented with the rule book before the competition, ie. what exceptions should be made.
7. Changes to the rules from the 2005 rule book with respect to 2007 rules. I choose 2005 since most competitors have not received the 2006 rule book.

Let's just have those to start with.

ROFLMAO
there will be no changes to the present rules that are set according to the IASCA rule book

i can adress the following
pt3
pt 4
pt 5
pt6

i am not sure i understand pt 1
the choice is either 31 or 32 but the same track must be used for all the vehicles ie all the cars must use either 31 or 32 and not some using 31 an others using 32

pt 7 sorry the 2006 rulebook stands
the issue with not getting the rule books was not at the local end and shameer actually printed over the books just to give to the local guys as iasca was extremely tardy in sending books and cd's however some of the rule books were binded with the pages mixed up and we could not give them out

1. Starting the various events on time, esp Sq.
2. The introduction of a SQ challenge trophy. (sponsor already identified)
3. Facilities for the SQ competitors to discuss their score sheets after being judged
4. Possible awarding of the SQ trophies earlier in the day. I.E same time score sheets are awarded.
5. Mandatory hearing protection during ALL SPL testing once competitor is in vehicle (sponsor already identified for 2 sets of ear muffs)
6. Discuss the IASCA competitors and judges training for those who dont know what it entails

Got more, will post soon

sound q guys especially

please read the rule book pages 10 to 17
as there have been infringments on some of these rules in the past and they will be enforced more strictly in the future

note rule 7
note rule 12

also note the competition classes
pro street class

and i quote

The intent of the Pro street class is to provide a more than basic competition format for contestants who work within the Mobile Electronics Industry in the capacity such as an installer, salesperson, technician or any other position that gives them a technological advantage over an Amateur or Semi pro

if its in the new rule book, quoting the rule numbers means nothing to most of us who have the old rule books.

if you can say what the rules are, maybe we can cross refrence it with the old book until we get new ones.

SR, You're just reinforcing the fact that having the rule book is important, and I'm reinforcing the fact that we don't have the rule book.
