Times for IASCA competition this weekend
Gates are open at 7:30am so sq competitors will have enough time to "prep" before competition starts
SQ Registration and competition starts at 8am 10 pt deduction for any SQ registration after 9am registration for sq closes at 9:30am
Idbl Registration starts at 8am and closes at 3pm
Idbl Starts at 12pm and closes at 4pm
... Sq results will be submitted to promoter within1/2hr of last competitor
Idbl results will be submitted to promoter within 1/2hr of last competitor
This is also a World record event for idbl and there will be ABSOLUTLY no deviations from the rule book for anyone
in other words if you got a "bligh" before in a previous event it will not happen at this one as you would have had enough time to correct any issues contrary to the rule book

the cost to compete in sq is $250 ........... please be advised that
these prices are high because of the limited amount of competitors that compete in sq ......... the cost of prizes are more than the income .......

This is the only competition that carries that price , all other comps are lower priced ......

Can the prizegiving for SQ take place before the actual end of the show? We're going to be there from 7:30 - 8am or so. It would be quite tough to wait all the way to the end of the show for collection of prizes. I saw that SR said scores would be available a bit after the last SQ competitor.

Is this possible?

I agree and support this ^^^ its really annoying to wait till the end to receive your prize for SQ. Sometime we waste an entire afternoon just waiting around...

^^I second this. SQ competitors are the first to arrive at any event. I think it is totally unfair to force them to wait til the end of the show to be awarded prizes along with the IDBL competitors. I think the only considerate thing to do is to have the prize givings separate, especially since the scores would be available soon after the last SQ competitor. Another reason that makes the separate prize givings a sensible option is the size of the venue (as mentioned previously). If there is a joint prize giving for SQ and IDBL, there is sure to be chaos wrt to accommodating ALL those vehicles.

shaker/shameer, I spoke to quite a few SQ competitors and they said they will not be competing if the cost to compete is $250.

So this is just a heads up, that your pricing is actually turning competitors away and not actually generating the extra revenue that you're expecting.

Having only known the cost tonight, I have only spoken to six of the usual competitors, and they all say $250 is, to put it gently, exorbitant; and they won't be willing to compete @ your show.

So far everyone is willing to compete at $175.
